Canadian Masterclass Series

The Canadian Masterclass Series is a one-of-a-kind unforgettable opportunity for dancers all over the country to take part and train with one of this generation’s most gifted and prolific artists, Chan Hon Goh C.M. D.Litt., former Principal Dancer of the National Ballet of Canada, Artistic Director of Global Dance Challenge and Director of Goh Ballet Academy.

Presented by GBCS and held annually in major cities across Canada, participants can access exceptional career development opportunities and further develop artistry and musicality while being mentored by a Canadian ballet superstar. Working with Ms Goh, dancers are encouraged to build on their technique, and push artistic nuances by bringing performance to training. Using thought provoking motivational strategies Ms. Goh aims to reinvigorate dancers’ dreams and goals, and assist youth in building confidence, and mental resilience through dance.

The Canadian Masterclass Series also provides national scholarship awards to assist promising young dancers to further their training goals. Any student taking part in the masterclass is automatically eligible. Criteria for scholarship awards is based on level of output, performance and technical ability demonstrated during the class. A total amount of $5,000 is awarded in scholarships to participants across the country.
